Author of over 60 scientific publications and inventor of patents in the energy and environmental, thesis supervisor and PhD thesis in engineering, winner of European projects and calls, coordinator of research projects and speaker at national and international conferences.

In the national conferences of diocesan directors of social pastoral care she is called as an expert in the 47th social week of Italian Catholics and in the Ecclesial Conference in Florence, she oversaw the organization of the national seminar “For sustainable human development: ideas and paths capable of the future” , of the national convention “Faith in the Creator to inhabit the earth” and of the 8th Day for the Custody of Creation.
Since her election as Mayor of Assisi, she left all institutional and administrative positions in companies, organizations and associations to devote herself exclusively to the administration of the Seraphic City.
As Mayor of Assisi she is: speaker at the international climate conferences of the United Nations (COP22, COP23 and COP24) ICCLEI member as observer at the United Nations invited to the international conference Global Climate Action Summit (San Francisco, September 2018) invited to report on the issues of the environment and of Peace at national and international level, elected Vice President of the City for the Fraternity Association (February 2019). She continues to be a “tireless volunteer” for the care of creation and for sustainable and integral human development, and to disseminate these issues with particular attention to young people and schools.
