Architect, has a relevant experience in environmental design and evaluation, as well as in territorial planning gained since ’90 through the participation in national research pilot projects and European Programmes as a coordinator and a consultant (Recite/Rebuild, Saline Ostia Antica, Ecocity,
OFFSOHO, HistUrban, Med-EcoQuartierrs, SERF2, Siren, Letit,Teach, ASTARTE, Life-Gravine, Desertnet, Basis, Strategist, KnowREG, Isolatino,…). C. Professor and member of the Interuniversity Research Center for Sustainable Development (CIRPS) research unit AEREL, Sapienza University of
Rome. Between 2010 and 2011, Professor in the course “European Project Management” (PORE -OPERA) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department of Regional Affairs. Managing Director and Senior Researcher of the professional association Ecoazioni “Actions and
Projects for the sustainable development”, since October 2000.
Since 2002, He is expert and evaluator for the EU Commission DGTREN (Transport and Energy) in the 5° and 6° Framework Programme and Scientific reviewer in the 7° Framework Programme for the EU Commission DG Environment (Urban Environment Department) and in The ENPI CBC
“Mediterranean Sea Basin” programme and more recently for EASME in Horizon2020.
He has been also expert evaluator in the field of Energy and Climate Change for ISFOL Agency (Leonardo Programme) and TECLA-UPI (Youth National Programme – Province Giovani). Member of the European Photovoltaic Technology Platform (in the Working group 2 – sub group
Building Integration Photovoltaic (BIPV). Consultant for Sardegna Region – Environment department (2011-2012), in Environmental impact assessment procedure (EIA). Coordinator and scientific responsible in processes of “River Contract” in several italian region: Lombardy, Tuscany, Umbria,
Latium, Veneto. Since 2007, Coordinator of the national table on “Rivers’ Contracts” for a sustainable planning and management of river basin and since 2015 coordinator of the “Participatory European network on Water Governance – Smart Rivers Network” selected to the III EU call EIP Water Action Groups (AG’s). He AG intends to contribute to the diffusion of participative governance in the management of European hydrologic basins, through the activation of a cooperative network and governance. He has published essays, articles on environment and sustainability in national and international Conference proceedings, book and magazines.
In 2011 is edited the first publication in Italy on the “River Contracts” experience. In 2015 He contributed to the United Nations World Water Development Report (WWDR 2015), Water for a Sustainable World, UNESCO’s contribution to The United Nations World Water Development Report
2015 “Facing the challenges, case studies and indicators” with a paper entitled “River contracts for sustainable development in the Italian context: The Serchio River case study”.

Endro Martini

Degree in Geological Sciences in 1972 – University of Pisa; member of the Order of Geologists since 1975. From 1972 to 1977 he worked as a professional in Italy and Algeria; from 1977 to 2010 employee of the Umbria Region, manager, expert geologist. He directed the following complex structures: Geological Sector; Soil Defense and Water resource Service, Quarries, Mines and Mineral Waters; Hydrogeological Risk Service, Quarries and Environmental Assessments; Valorization of the Teritory and Landscape Protection Services, information technologies, promotion and coordination of community projects. Member of the National Geological Committee, Technical Committee of the Arno and Tiber Basin Authority and the VIA-VAS National Commission at the Ministry of the Environment. Responsible for measures POR FERS Umbria 2007-2013 (Risk Prevention: Regional Multi-Risk Plan – Innovation and Knowledge Economy: SI-Information Society Infrastructure Activities). Enrolled in the “long list” of the national experts of the CReIAMO PA Project. PON GOVERNANCE 2014-20220 Ministry of the Environment – SOGESID, THEMATIC AREAS: 1 Integrated planning and programming of river basins / sub-basins, river contracts and participatory processes; 2 Environmental impact assessment (EIA), strategic environmental assessment (SEA), environmental impact assessment (VINCA); 3 Adaptation to climate change. From 2015 to 2020 Project Manager for Smarigo, Smarigo 2.0 projects for cooperation in the management of water resources with the Republic of Moldova and Innova Risks, exchange on Civil Protection with Moldova, (Kep Italy CEI programs). Scientific Coordinator of the UNDP-EU Project in Algeria on risk prevention since 2019. Since 2012 he is the President of the Scientific Cultural Association called “Alta Scuola” association among the Umbria Region and the Municipalities of Orvieto and Todi. Since 2020 he has been Vice President of the Marche Section of SIGEA (Italian Society of Environmental Geology). He takes care of the National Thematic Area River Contracts for SIGEA.Author of numerous publications on geological and environmental subjects, he has lectured at conferences and congresses in Italy and abroad. He loves music (Bob Dylan, Jaques Brel, Roberto Carlos Braga, F. de Andrè). Fiorentina supporter.
